Mt. Pleasant Library – Children’s Area 1

Baby Kneads Infant Massage

Learn how to massage, relax, and soothe your newborn to pre-crawling baby through infant massage. Infant massage is a natural method of nurturing and bonding contact during a baby’s early life.

Benefits of infant massage:

  • Relaxes and soothes babies
  • Deepens bonding
  • Promotes the strengthening of the digestive, respiratory, and circulatory systems
  • Helps relieve the discomfort associated with gas and colic
  • Helps baby sleep better by releasing stress, which builds daily from new experiences
  • Increases confidence and sensitivity to baby’s cues

This workshop is for parents and caregivers of newborns and pre-crawlers. Discover how to massage your baby in a serene environment, where the instructor demonstrates techniques using a doll. Gain the knowledge needed to begin massaging your baby immediately. Please bring a baby blanket and wear comfortable clothing to ensure a cozy experience for you and your little one.

Registration is required. Please email kveras@clpvd.org to secure your spot.
