Get ready to VOTE for the upcoming elections: registration and info!
Monootash (baskets) of all forms and functions have long been integral to Indigenous communities of Southern New England. Though they were utilitarian, basketmakers went to great lengths to add artistry to the craft, creating designs that both honored their cultural heritage and told stories of the beauty of our ecology.
Join Silvermoon LaRose of the Tomaquag Museum for a discussion on the art and history of traditional basket stamping and create your own stamped designs!
For this program we will be working with paints.
