CLPVD and The RI Department of State, in partnership with Roger Williams University School of Law Minority Business Law Collaborative (MBLC), is offering a FREE Business Ownership Report Clinic to assist business owners with filing the mandatory Beneficial Ownership Information Report with the federal Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN).
Key Details:
- Who needs to file? LLCs, Corporations, Partnerships, and Non-Profits.
- Why is it important? Failure to file can result in civil penalties of $500/day and criminal fines up to $10,000, with potential imprisonment for up to two years.
- How much does it cost? There’s no fee to file, but the report is mandatory.
