This fun and free introductory improv course is a low-pressure way for community members to check out what we do at the Providence Improv Guild. Through exercises and games that focus on storytelling and active listening, workshop attendees will learn to develop a world with a scene partner from scratch.
The Providence Improv Guild, PIG for short, is a 501 (c)3 non-profit organization centered around Improv Comedy. We teach classes all year round and have shows every Friday at 8pm and Saturday at 7 & 9pm. All of our shows and classes are held on the second floor of AS220 on 95 Empire St. PIG strives to create an inclusive and safe environment where friends and community members can laugh together.
Emma Sacchetti is a teacher and performer with the Providence Improv Guild. She’s performed at various theaters around the state such as The Wilbury Group, Burbage Theater Company, and COAAST, among others. You can find her being silly on the PIG stage most Friday nights with her house team Nutflux n’ Chull.
