Laser Cutting: Get to Know the Glowforge

Stop by to see the Glowforge laser cutter in action and learn about the steps to make different projects from a variety of materials.  We will demonstrate engraving and cutting through materials like wood, acrylic, felt, and rubber, which come in handy for projects like keychains, wall decor, jewelry, 3D boxes, stamps, and more.  We will also go over the basics of preparing a design using Inkscape, a free software you can use at home.  When you have a project ready to go, the Glowforge is available during the library’s weekly open studio hours!  RSVP with Garrett at glocke@clpvd.org
