True biz (adj./exclamation; American Sign Language): really, seriously, definitely, real-talk
Join Aimee and Sarah for a discussion of this year’s Reading Across Rhode Island book, True Biz, a fictional story about a residential school for the deaf and the lives of its students and teachers. The teens at River Valley School for the Deaf experience all the awkwardness, rebellion, heartache, and joys of typical teens, along with some that are unique to their membership in the Deaf community.
An interpreter will sign the discussion for the deaf and hard of hearing.
