Opening Night: Thursday, April 18: The Gallery at Sprout CoWorking
Artist Liliana Fijman has worked with children at all nine CLPVD libraries on a project that culminates in a public exhibition of work at the Gallery at Sprout CoWorking, 166 Valley Street. The exhibit will be featured as part of Gallery Night Providence on April 18 and will run through May 2.
Created in honor of Earth Day and inspired by an original installation by Liliana that was exhibited in Mexico, CLPVD's young library users used air and paint to create bubbles on watercolor canvas, conveying the invisible and intangible essence of "Air." Everyone is invited to attend the opening night at Sprout Gallery to celebrate the work of the children, Liliana, and the youth services staff who helped make the program possible. Air: a Breath on the Line was made possible by a grant from the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts.
The Gallery at Spout CoWorking is a featured stop on the 5:30 pm Trolley or Mini Coach Art Tour with Gallery Night Providence on April 18, which also visits the Gallery at City Hall and the Bannister Gallery at Rhode Island College. Book your spot!
