A Night of Jazz and Rhythm and Blues

Join us for a night of Jazz and Rhythm and Blues as a tribute to honor the memory of Mibbit Threats, who was an icon in the Greater Providence music scene.

Mibbit was a bass player whose career spanned four decades performing internationally. He is remembered not only for his musicianship, but as a music educator, who inspired, mentored and taught countless musicians. As a host in various rhythm and blues, and jazz open mic jams through the years, Mibbit’s humor and gentle nature allowed him to provide young musicians with suggestions and feedback, encouraged their musical risk taking and pushed them to improve. His lasting legacy will be the music created by those that he helped and inspired.

Entertainment will be provided by a quintet featuring vocalist Tish Adams, guitarist Paul Williams, keyboardist Richard Hundley, Bassist Joe Potenza and Drummer Zeffro Gianetti. Our host and special guest for the evening is story teller, Len Cabral.
