Join us to learn how to use Ancestry.com in new ways that can unlock the answers you are looking for. We will work on your tree to improve your confidence in navigating the site.

The workshop will be facilitated by Heather Pouliot Kisilywicz , who is a RI Genealogical Society board member. She earned a master’s in library and information science from the University of Rhode Island. As an educator, she focuses on improving genealogist research skills, advocating for the genealogy research standards, and offering tips on how to find new sources in local archives. She is a member of the Society of American Archivists, the Association of Professional Genealogists, and the Rhode Island Genealogical Society.
The Rhode Island Genealogy Society (RIGS) was started in 1975 by a small group of family historians and genealogists tracing their Rhode Island roots. Today membership includes genealogists from around the world. RIGS offers members the benefit of workshops, lectures, and in-person events and the highly regarded quarterly publication Rhode Island Roots.
