Farm Fresh & Hope’s Harvest: Connecting Local Farmers & Eaters

February 7 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Rochambeau Library – Cafe

Hope's Harvest in the fields

Join us for a presentation and conversation with Hope’s Harvest, a program of Farm Fresh RI. Hope’s Harvest tackles the problem of food insecurity in Rhode Island by mobilizing volunteers to rescue surplus fruits and vegetables from local farms that would otherwise go to waste and distributes them to hunger relief agencies across Rhode Island.

Want to learn about hunger in Rhode Island and the ways in which Hope’s Harvest & Farm Fresh RI address this issue? Want to learn about gleaning, how it works, and what it entails? Join us to get a peek into the operations of on-farm food recovery & hunger relief in Rhode Island!
