Please register:  rocadults@clpvd.org

Join local Providence artist Tina Meetran to learn basic techniques of acrylic painting. This class welcomes all beginners with little to no experience in painting to not only learn techniques that will enhance their creations, but also to have fun while doing it! In this 4 week class we will focus on 1.The relationship between your brush, paint, and canvas 2. Color Mixing/Blending, 3. Shadows and Highlights, and 4. Reference Painting. All materials will be provided!

A self-taught artist, Tina Meetran was born in Providence, RI where she currently still lives and works. She was first introduced to visual arts in high school through a local non-profit organization – New Urban Arts. It was here that she was able to explore photography, acrylic painting, watercolor painting, and mixed media. She fell in love with the way that colors were mixed, made, and danced across a page or canvas. Tina mostly paints with watercolors and acrylics, using nature, plants, and florals as her main subjects. She now has expanded to work with digital illustration and aspires to increase representation for communities of color in mainstream visual media – especially for our younger generations.
