Solito & Unaccompanied, by Javier Zamora

Join RI Poet Laureate Tina Cane for a discussion of the 2024 Reading Across RI book Solito, by Javier Zamora, as well as some of the poems published in his collection Unaccompanied.

Tina Cane, the recipient of a Fellowship Merit Award from the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts, is the founder and director of Writers-in-the-Schools, Rhode Island, for which she works as a visiting poet. She has taught French, English, and creative writing in public and private schools throughout New York City and Rhode Island. In 2016, she was selected to be the sixth poet laureate of Rhode Island.

Tina is the author of the poetry collections Year of the Murder Hornet (Veliz Books 2022), Body of Work (Veliz Books, 2019), and Once More with Feeling (Veliz Books, 2017).
