The Music Business
This four-week course taught by Ben Goldberg will offer an insightful overview of how the music industry works, with a special emphasis on the people who constitute an artist’s team. We will run through specific careers within management, marketing and promotions, and draw connections between the roles. Open to musicians, those interested in careers in music, or even just the curious.
MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Ben Goldberg runs the Brooklyn label Ba Da Bing Records. He has managed, publicized and promoted artists and releases, having worked with groups such as Neutral Milk Hotel, Interpol, The Breeders and Arcade Fire, and at the labels Matador, Merge and Atlantic.
REGISTRATION INFORMATION
Classes take place every Tuesday night, 6pm-7:30pm, January 16th through February 6th at Mt. Pleasant Library. Register through Eventbrite to sign up for the entire course. Please sign up only if you plan on attending all four classes.
