Yarmulkazi Klezmer Concert

May 23 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Rochambeau Library – Patio

Yarmulkazi

Part of our outdoor event series. All events will be held on the front patio. In the case of rain, events will move indoors. This is one to make you get up and Dance!

Yarlmukazi was founded 15 or so years ago, and is a Brown student band, self created and self directed. They usually play 3 or so times a semester, and about 1/3 of the events are off campus, like the one they are playing for you.

There are seven or eight consistent members with a few occasional fill-ins. Several of them will be gone for the summer break before May 23, and their places are being filled with seniors who will stay in town for graduation on May 26. That turns out to be good, as some of them are among the school’s top players, including the Brown University Orchestra’s concertmaster. They will all talk a bit about themselves at times between songs during the performance, a tradition they got used to while performing for alumni and other groups.

This is one to make you get up and dance!
