Local author Robert Geake will talk about a chapter from his latest book Death in Early New England: Rites, Rituals and Remembrance, (2023)Â which focuses on the tall tales and legends printed in early New England newspapers, their popularity, and those true, published accounts of early unexplained phenomena.

It's alcohol ink art time. Alcohol inks are relatively easy to use and with no need for prior art knowledge. Beginners can create beautiful designs. Working with alcohol inks is highly therapeutic and fun. Give it a try with us! Space is limited. Reserve your spot through Eventbrite.
In this two-part workshop (October 18 and 25), participants will build their own paper mache masks. The first week will focus on creating an armature and paper mache techniques, and the second week will focus on painting and adding decorative elements.
